WHAT? WHERE? WHEN?

Magical Music for Life Foundation is thrilled to present its 7th annual TUNES IN TIMES SQUARE benefit concert Sunday, May 6, 2018 on Broadway between 46th & 47th Streets in Times Square at 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. In keeping with our mission to better the lives of children through the use of music, the purpose of this concert is to introduce our free water safety album songs, foster awareness of our music and touring shows for children, and to raise financial support for our ongoing outreach and production of free music for children with autism and special needs.

The event will be a continuous sing-a-thon, where talented children and groups from seven states will come together to share the same stage with over 60 Broadway performers from most of the current shows and many past shows.

Online and at the event there will be many exciting items in the auction & raffle, including tickets to Broadway shows / other events often with backstage tours and/or signed memorabilia, travel, dining, unique & autographed items, etc.

Donations will be gladly accepted at the TUNES IN TIMES SQUARE event or at Donations.

WHY?

May is water safety month and Magical Music for Life’s TUNES IN TIMES SQUARE is raising funds to complete the production of their new water safety and basic swimming skills album and continue our outreach efforts for children with and without autism and special needs. Following the success of our free album and musical revue, A Day in the Life of a Child, which teaches social and life skills to children with and without autism and other special needs, Magical Music was asked to write and produce a water safety teaching album. We are excited to take on this project, because drowning is a major cause of death and injury for young children. For children with autism through the age of 14 and other children under 4, drowning is the primary cause of death; and it is the second leading cause of death for children under 14. For every child who dies from drowning, another 5 receive emergency department care for nonfatal submersion injuries; these injuries can cause severe brain damage that may result in long-term disabilities such as memory problems, learning disabilities, and permanent loss of basic functioning.

Magical Music’s mission is to better the lives of children through the impactful and extraordinary power of music. Through these water safety songs which will be available for free, Magical Music strives to help save lives in the future.
